Baltej Singh Rupal

Baltej, who joined Rapid3D in Oct. 2022 as a Mechanical Engineer, has since evolved into the role of Applications Engineer (Academic and Research Partnerships). In this capacity, he focuses on fostering collaborations and developing technical resources for academic and research initiatives. With over 8 years of engineering experience, Baltej’s portfolio at Rapid3D includes leading additive design, reverse engineering, and R&D projects. His deep knowledge of 3D technologies, particularly design and additive manufacturing, stems from his doctorate in mechanical engineering from the University of Alberta and international work with diverse research teams in India, Sweden, and France. He also holds a master’s degree (CAD/CAM) and a bachelor’s degree (Mechanical) from India. Outside of work, Baltej is an avid hiker, history enthusiast, and billiards player.
