Dr. Osezua Ibhadode is an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. He obtained his PhD from the University of Waterloo in Canada in 2021. Before joining the University of Alberta in September 2022, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Waterloo’s Multi-scale Additive Manufacturing Lab (MSAM Lab). His research focuses on design for additive and advanced manufacturing, advancing state-of-the-art design algorithms, including topology optimization, lattice and porous design, implicit modeling, and process modeling and simulation for additive manufacturing. He founded the Multifunctional Design and Additive Manufacturing Lab (MDAM Lab) in 2022 with a vision of revolutionizing the structural design workflow across fields and disciplines. He is a Principal Co-Investigator in the Holistic Innovation for Additive Manufacturing (HI-AM) Network in Canada. He is sponsored through several grants obtained from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), the Mathematics of Information Technology and Complex Systems (MITACS), and the Black Youth for Social Innovation (BYSI) program. He collaborates with several industries within and outside Alberta.
