We’re thrilled to announce the Industrial Additive Manufacturing Hackathon Challenge, a collaborative effort between the Alberta Additive Manufacturing Network (AAMN), the Manufacturing & Export Enhancement Cluster (MEE), and Red Deer Polytechnic’s Centre for Innovation in Manufacturing (CIM-TAC).

In this industry-focused design event, engineers have the opportunity to delve into additive manufacturing projects. Whether you’re an engineer looking to explore design for additive manufacturing, committing 3–8 hours per week for two months, or a company eager to leverage additive manufacturing with a unique challenge, this is your chance to be part of a transformative experience.

Why participate? Participants will gain exposure to cutting-edge tools, develop valuable skills, connect with industry peers, and have the chance to showcase their innovative projects at the SmartMTX conference in May 2024. For companies, submitting a project by February 23 opens doors to reduced solution costs, support for local industry, and an enhanced Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) profile.

Important details:

Registration Deadline: February 23, 2024

Kickoff: End of February 2024

Showcase: SmartMTX conference, May 15-16, 2024
